Last summer Gary Osaba flew a Woodstock (like Matt Michael's) from Zapata, TX up to near lubbock. It was a world record setting flight, although thanks to logger validation BS the record was denied. anyway, i never really realized just how far he flew, even though i read the article about 800+ kilometers in 9 hrs. They finally got it posted on the OLC:

once i clicked on the google maps option i realized that he had transversed nearly 3/4 of the state, South to North! WOW!!
it got in too late to be scored of course, which is too bad, because it would've been the longest flight in North America and 2nd or 3rd longest flight in the World for this year.
