World Dumbest - No exaggeration

Dumber than the gang that tried to rob a bank next door to a police station?

Those guys were literally behind bars 15 minutes after the attempted robbery.

His defense lawyer will plead that it was entrapment.

Wow. People really leave cash sitting around unattended? When I was in the alarm business I always assumed claiming a bunch of cash was stolen was just the common knowledge way to get extra insurance money. I even heard one say, "They never give you what the stuff was worth so why not (commit fraud)?"

I have heard officers say "we don't catch the smart ones".

J.J. Bettenbinder (Chicago Police detective): "I've yet to find out that the guy up against the wall is a Rhodes Scholar."

The most amusing one I heard was from the officer that made the arrest. He parked his police car in front of the door to a 7-11 and went in for something to eat. In the meantime a guy walks past the police car, picks something up and gets in line in front of the officer. He was acting nervous then once he got to the counter, he pulled a knife on the attendant and demanded all the money. The cop tapped him on the shoulder, when he turned around to see what it was, he could see the rifling inside the officer's pistol barrel. New criminal, never stole anything in his life, never even had a speeding ticket. He said the guy was so nervous he didn't even see the police car or the uniformed officer standing right next to him.

I have to say, that is absolutely hilarious. Thanks for sharing!

Well, kids do. If they are given money rather than earn it, it has little value to them. My kids left $$ around all the time. Drove me crazy, until I began to "steal" it from them. It took them a very long time to notice!!!!

Earlier this year, one of the snow events cut off electricity to some neighborhoods in northwest DC for several days. During that time, a burglar was suprised by the homeowner and fled through a back door. Unfortunately he forgot to take his cellphone with him which he had plugged in at the victims home as his own apartment had lost power.....

The district seems to breed the dumbest criminals known to man (and that is not counting the ones on capitol hill).
