Pilots certainly have a lot of relevant safety, training, regulatory topics to talk about, and flight is fascinating in of itself, but! One of the things that attracted me to an aviation carrier that eventually let to flying was how interesting and absurd it can be at the same time.

No one that works in this heavily regulated industry, with active enforcement, can honestly say that have not been fascinated by the lapses, oversights, corruption, incompetence they see with almost alarming regularity.

It sure would be interesting to read sterilized accounts of what goes on. Any body got anything they want to get off their chest?
 
I thought you were going to suggest a forum dedicated to necroposting.
 
Nah! Nothing so noble. My weekend is starting, typically I wake up and mentally review the events of the week. Sometimes it's bewildering, I probably just need to get down to the gym.

I was thinking more along the lines of:

I think we found out what happened to the coworker that suddenly stopped coming in about 6 months ago (who's hours we all had to start covering). He actually called in and told someone he had been indicted by the FBI for industrial espionage, and wouldn't be allowed back until it was resolved. And of course he left some digital gear in someone's cube for "safe keeping," which the company promptly turned over to a 3rd party investigation agency.

When you have department full a curious people stationed in front of a computer all day, sooner or later someone figures out the Google query and makes a discovery. In this case it was a grand jury sentencing docket for child porn with his name on it.

There are other things that happen though.

It seriously never stops.

That happened to me with one of my nephews.
