If it was a Cherokee 140 I'd be less enthused.
Haters gonna hate
I'm with Sooner.... I have no airplane and would be tickled to win almost anything
but this one seems not as well equipped as the last one...no autopilot, etc...
it doesn't offer any "nostalgia" like some older classic cessna 170 or similar might
so while I'd be happy, this one doesn't have the wow factor...unless I'm missing something. I've never been a huge piper fan anyway....not that there's anything wrong with 'em, just haven't flow many nice examples
I don't think you're missing anything. Here's a panel picture from one of the sales ads when it was for sale before. I didn't see that WoH did any work on it.
GX55 GPS, IFR enroute only.
KT-79 mode C transponder
Single king 97a radio
But what do you want for $100? I wouldn't be angry, but I've won exactly one thing (50/50 raffle) in my life
Are they in stealth mode? Only2266errr, 2269 tickets sold
WoH always upgrades the avionics. Here is what they have/will upgrade this plane with.
Our mechanics and volunteers are installing state-of-the-art IFR avionics including dual GI-275 Attitude and Horizontal Situation Indicators (does away with the problematic vacuum system) integrated with the touchscreen Garmin 650Xi GPS/NAV/COM, GNC-255 NAV/COM and ADS-B In & Out Transponder.

2596... Just bought the winning ticket, jes saying
Probably close to 10k just in labor.about how much will it cost the lucky winner to add a basic but good autopilot to this?
Well, congratulations on that new iPad, because I know I have the ticket for the plane. I'm so due to win something.
when's your bday?
Sorry folks, but the trend is that raffle winners typically already have 2-3 planes (one of which is a jet), 500,000 hours and will hang this one in their home museum ceiling. Usually nothing for us poor renters.
Is this a leading economic indicator of a bad time coming?
It can always get worse...Whadday mean "coming?"

Same here.I buy a ticket or 3, every year. It's a donation to a foundation that gives back. I know a probably won't win, but it would be nice. It feels good to give back.
Yet you feel the need to say this, in public? The 180 is comparable to the Beech I already own, but less comfortable, with smaller fuel tanks, and with less luggage capacity. I'm not particularly interested in a raffle ticket.
Hmmmmm. Rotary wing add onPersonally, I'd prefer second prize: PPL scholarship
Even if I won the plane I couldn't keep it. I don't think I could afford the taxes to keep it.
