Why was "Election Process" Moved?

It seemed like a reasonable discussion. Points were shared without a lean toward party ties or being political in nature. I saw a reasoned discussion about a constitutional issue where some understood and some did not. It was a chance to learn about a process most do not understand. Disagreements were opined but in good taste and without any attack on ideas or individuals.

Sorry, but that is an action I very much disagree with. It was a WRONG action on the part of the person making the change. There was not so much as even a word in the thread before it was moved.

Has it come to the point we can't have a reasonable discussion such as this without someone becoming offended?

A special thanks to Spike for his great explanations for what did take place... even if low wing airplanes are inferior to high wings. :)

jsut my $.02, I did not think it 'political' but it was a good civics discussion. I also did not perceive any arguments, just a back and forth of viewpoints. I know there are some people on this board that do have a zero tolerance of anything that smells political and really only want aviation related content. We must strive for a balance of that viewpoint as well as the other side where we also talk of other issues. I agree that non-aviation politics does not belong outside of the SZ.
 
I made a few posts in that thread before I realized that it wasn't in SZ. Since I hit the "New Posts" button to browse posts I sometimes don't notice what forum they are in. Still I think it was a great discussion and I can't see how it would've offended anyone.

Now it's an age discrimination issue. What happened to the original thread? Some of us take longer than others to conjure up a response, and no chance of remembering what it was if we can't read all the posts.
