That only works on bucks, not on birds.

The problem is that they haven't obtained FIKI certification for their hot wings, and so the icing builds up and they don't find an alternate.

If birds navigate by magnetic fields then erratic fields cause midairs & CFITs.

Where else would you expect them to fall from. When in a tree, they can grip the twig with their tiny little toes.
