Who is grilling on T-day?

Our family is still debating whether or not to smoke a turkey.

That sounds really good.

Doing all of the traditional fixins: mashed taters, stuffing, green bean casserole, cranberry sauce, pumpkin pie, etc., just doing pulled pork as the meat!

Just my wife, my mom and myself for Thanksgiving. Already bought the 2 inch thick sirloins and will do those on the pellet grill.

Nope. Traveling over Thanksgiving for the second time in three years.

Last time it was (no kidding) Denny’s Ft Benning. This time, it’s brunch at Del Frisco Times Square with a private parade side table.

No grilling for us, but the turkey will get introduced to the oven early Thanksgiving morning. :)

I’m not cooking this year as I’m joining the GF at her parents in TX.

Possibly. We're deferring the turkey dinner until Saturday when my son can join us, so we might toss a couple of ribeyes on the grill for Thanksgiving day.

The only great cranberry sauce is jellied and canned by the Ocean Spray company of Lakeville, Massachusetts. ;)

Dude... we have nothing further to discuss. Really??!?

In my family, we're having roasted turkey. I, on the other hand, will most likely be getting grilled. Sigh.

Forget that nasty tasting bird, I’m going to spend the day with my mom, the kids are at their moms this year- we will be feasting on a couple of well marbled Rib Eyes! Grilled if it’s not a blizzard- cast iron inside if it is...

I’m a thanksgiving day skrooge - don’t care for Turkey, like football even less...

Green egg doing what green eggs do. Yeah, I know it’s sideways! Deal.

I'm visiting my sister in Arizona. We decided that a turkey would just be too big. But I still wanted festive poultry. So I bought a duck.
I've never attempted to cook duck before. If you're going to experiment, experiment on family...

Pretty sure what ever the pilgrims had was cooked over open fire. Go for it.

Absolutely. 40 day aged ribeye.

Then again, I’m not grilling because it’s Thanksgiving. I’m grilling because it’s my turn to cook, and how else are you supposed to get food warm??

Rub a spoon under the skin to separate it from the meat. That will help with crisping up the skin.

The fat is liquid gold. Don't waste a single drop. Save it for roasted potatoes.

Carving is important. Make sure you slice the breast meat thinly across the grain. Don't just plop a whole piece on the plate like you would with a chicken.
