hotmail, yahoo, gmail I've got.

I need as many domains as possible that allow free email. I'm setting up an additional step to validate users who use free email services to register.

I would personally advise agaisnt that.

*Many* ISP's provide terrible email services. Due to this many valid people use free e-mail services. Also it's "easy" and convinent. Another factor is the fact that people can keep their free yahoo/hotmail/crap email address for years as they switch ISPs.

I feel that if you were to block such e-mail services.. You would inturn be turning away future members.

EDIT:

Wait..Are you just going to add another step to registration, or are you going to all up block them?

I don't intend to block them, just to make them go through an extra step to register, to prove they're not a script.

Gotcha.

I've seen some sites block free e-mail accounts. Always seemed stupid to me. Not that I even use one, but still.

gmail. i have tons of free invites if yall want some

Free Email Sites:

klassmaster.com
fakeinformation.com
mailinater.com
sogetthis.com

I have an emial account at yourmom.com, so there's one.

Thanks gang - I think that with the new modification I've added, and the permission changes I've made, the tide has been stemmed.

It's annoying as hell is what it is. I've had the same Yahoo email address for as long as they've been offering them for exactly the reason you give, I keep the same address regardless of what ISP I'm using and for $20 a year I get POP3 and a bunch of other services.

Just run your custom domain that you can get for about $5 through google sites and voila...you have up to 100 e-mail addresses on your domain for free.

Gmail web interface, but not the gmail domain.

Which is worse? -- keeping a current database of freebie email proggies, or just making everyone prove they're human when they register?

(shrug)
