The dude posted more most days than I do most months.

I find the two hard to reconcile. Real life warrior...Internet warrior...

But seriously, everyone I know who has allowed Henning to mooch off of them for days or weeks says the man doesn't bathe. No matter how smooth talking you are, all women I've ever known have noses that work far better than their ears. :wink2:

I didn't know about his status. This thread is not about that it is about him. just wanted to know if the crazy guy is okay. I didn't see anything in the Roc saying we can't talk about a god like public figure?

Like the hypocrisy of plotting in the spin zone to post sz content in the main forum after the sz closes to force MC to have to work harder for no pay because you aren't getting your way?

An MC member has already thrown that chestnut out. Another has threatened to dos me in a PM. C'mon, if you want to suck up and get your seat on the MC you'll have to do better than that.

I can't say what I want to say, Jeff, because of the ROC, which I follow. What you don't know, or choose to ignore, is that it takes three votes for the MC to act on most items/reports. This thread being closed for a violation of the ROC's is a topic of discussion by the MC at this time... but some feel it's a discussion of "the man", and some feel it's a discussion of "the ban". So it's going to take some time to come to a consensus. Unlike you, most of us have actual lives, and we're out flying, golfing, laughing with our families, instead of sitting here on the web trying to pick a fight.

Had drinks with him twice on two separate trips to Ft Lauderdale. Good guy. I talk to him on the phone now and again.

Yes he is real, and yes he was banned.

Sometimes the MC members cannot win.

As for Henning, perhaps he was involved in that 300 mile boat chase off of Florida today.

I remember exactly when and where I was when I read him brag that if and when he decided to commit suicide, he could take more with him than the German pilot in the Alps.

It actually caused a physical responses in me.

When confronted, he said he'd be doing his hapless passengers a favor with a quick and painless death.

At that point he went on permanent ignore. Even if joking, I don't need any spewings of a person like that in my life.

I have been in a room with both Henning and CapN Ron at the same time. Tom Sisk's Bar B Que at RDU...200x? I think I may even have pictures on the server at work.

Both are great guys...both have warts just like we all do.

If the truth were known, we are ALL full of shti to someone...Henning just has a bigger collection here than you* do. :yes:

*(not 'you' as in 'Rich'...'you' as in anyone reading this post)

Actually, I don't think either man is full of ****.

Based solely on their posts on POA, however, I do suspect that they represent the opposite extremes of the Free-Spirit / Tight-Ass continuum; and I think that a debate between the two of them -- especially while slightly inebriated -- would be very entertaining to watch. On the one side would be Captain Ron meticulously building his position based on references drawn from his vast collection of rules, rule books, and rule interpretations; and on the other would be Henning countering with quotes from prophets of all the world's religions, drug lords he met in the Caribbean, and whores he slept with in Bangkok. I think it would be a blast.

He passed through here a couple years ago driving Clark 1961's company car and stayed in my spare bedroom for a few days

Seemed nice,, never drank, was on his I pad for hours. Let him ride my slow snowmobile.. thank god cause the fast one would have killed him.. He is a bit "wild"... Took him for a ride in my "deathtrap" .. Didn't phase him at all..:no:

So, he does exist...
