Where I worked, we could go from our CT table covered in gore from the last horrible trauma code, to sparkling clean and covered with a Thanksgiving buffet in the space of 30 minutes. That was a few years ago, before social media brought PC to even the toughest inner city trauma center. Now, you never know who's gonna rat you out for having coffee and a doughnut while sitting at the computer doing your charting.

My father has his birthday a day before mine and the family always gets together to celebrate. One year, after seeing this, I said, "I'll bring the cake." My mom refused to eat any of it. My dad took the leftovers home for his buddies on poker night.
