What's the value of an eye witness?

Same thing happened to me. Back before I took up the "game" I was playing, or I should say hacking, in a company sponsored employee golf day. Got a hole-in-one on a par three. Thought it was neat but nothing special. Got home and told my wife (who is and was then a golfer) and she surprised me by getting on the phone to all the family telling them about it. I just didn't get it.

Of course, since taking up the game I haven't come close!
