Being pretty much behind the times, I have to ask:

What does it mean when people capitalize every other letter?

iT sUrE mAkEs It HaRd To ReAd!

IT'S NOT QUITE THE SAME AS TYPING 'ALL CAPS'.

Its funny and frustrating what people do that "mean" something today, such as the eggplant emoji meaning and that proper punctuation, such as a period at the end of a text, is now looked on as rude.

I learned the other day that "skeet" no longer means shooting clay pigeons, which is a hobby of mine. I'm sure my generation screwed it up for my parent's, and theirs before them. I guess now its my turn.

And my generation screwing things up for the next. ;)

I had to GTS to find the "new" meaning of skeet. Things sure do change!

Sarcastically quoting a statement or an oft-repeated phrase that sounds ridiculous to make it seem more so.

Tantalum's "sMaLl pLaNeS aRe DaNgErOuS" is a good example.

You can thank Lil' Jon for that.

I told myself, no, don't do it. But I did. First hit is the definition of skeet, like from the dictionary, shootin clay pigeons with shotguns. So I told myself, drop it there, don't do it. But I did. I scrolled down. Next time I go skeet shooting, instead of saying "Pull" I'm gonna say.........................

To be fair, both are pretty fun.

It has some other meaning? That's what it has always meant to me. But, my kids (who are now in their 40s) say I'm old, so there's that.

Ya... that was the softball.

Usually means you are 12 years old and using your moms computer....

Was going to say, 25 years ago that was "h4x0r SpEaK". I think over time it's morphed into the current mocking stupid things.

Get off my lawn.
