Well, I have just enough spare money to do one of four things...

  1. Buy a Blackberry Curve...
  2. Get signed off to fly a C-152...
  3. Get signed off to fly a PA-28-180...
  4. Get signed off to fly both the C-152 and a PA-28-180...
Which one should I do?

Don't bother with the phone. It will be obselete soon. The flying experience won't be.
 
But I love flying Cessna 152's! But I plan to buy a Cherokee 140.




If I had money for a Iphone, I would be getting both sign offs and a Blackberry!

hmmmm, I'd recommend saving the money for the airplane purchase.
 
If you're limited to that list, go with the PA28-180 - you can actually travel some distance and carry some stuff in the -180.
 
Yeah, I just got done watching a TV show called "Most Extreme Airports" and now I have in itch to go flying. Sounds like I'll be flying this weekend, Weather permitting.

I'll probably be towing before I fly in a Glider. lol

If you join a club the cost can be miniscule compared to what you've paid for your airplane PPL, but to join most clubs requires some sort of equity purchase. When I got my glider add on it cost around $600 to join and something like $15/month for dues. Each glider flight cost between $10 and $15. Instructors were free! and the major flight cost was for the aero tow. In return for such low costs you were expected to spend a couple of full weekend days helping out. For someone with more time available than money that's definitely the way to go. To adjust for inflation (this was in the 1980 time frame) I'd figure on 50-100% more than I quoted.

The other option is a commercial glider operation. With that you just show up for your lesson(s) much like you did for airplane training and when the flight+debrief are done you can leave. Costs in that case aren't much different than airplane training but the time requirement will be a lot lower because you already know how to fly airplanes. BTW there's no written for you either.

Yeah, just turned 18 yesterday! Not that I'd drink that sh*t even if I was old enough. I can't stand the smell/taste of any kind of alcoholic beverage.

Personally, I'd go for the 152 checkout. It will be cheaper to rent than the Cherokee, so you'll be able to fly more.
 
The cherokee is only $3 more than the C172E that I rent now. lol

172E: $100
PA-28-180: $103
C152: $77

I you really want my opinoin I would go with 4, I just think the more certs you have the better. That may just be the cop in me though.

I personally would go for the 152 if you plan on working on your IR (50 XC time) or if you don't plan on going more than a couple hundred miles from home anytime soon. At 25.00 an hour cheaper you get an hour of flight time more for every 3 in the 152 vs taking the Cherokee somewhere.

Chances are, if I'm going on a XC Flight I'm hauling PAX and a 152 don't do well with PAX + Baggage.

I spent the first 30 hours of my training in a 152, the last 25 hours in a 172. I have always wanted to fly a Cherokee.
