Maybe Chicago asked a more profound question than they realized in their song: Does Anyone Really Know What Time it is <g>

For those of you that haven't watched this series of vids or seen this program, you might find that questions interesting.

I just look at the clock to find out what time it is.

But beyond the arbitrariness of time that video is interesting. I like the ideas. I just wonder if we will ever know what time really is and how to travel through it. I would imagine that if we could travel through time someone would have already traveled back to us to tell us how.

Isn't it interesting how precisely we are measuring something we can't explain?

A bit egotistic for us to decide what time is with the limited knowledge of Nature we have, isn't it?

Do you think another life form in another galaxy could relate to us measuring how long it takes for the Earth to rotate once on it's axis?

Part 4 had some fascinating slow mo pics.

So did time begin 13.7 Billion years ago when the big bang is estimated to have occurred, or did it exist before that?

BTW, that is a six part series on YouTube.

Best,

Dave

thats exactly why Stephen Hawking doesnt believe that time travel will ever happen.

Ahhh, but we know that traveling forward in time is possible...

Did you get to the part where the theory about what caused the Big Bang was explained? That time predates that?

Isn't it interesting that each expert interviewed had a different opinion of what it was. Most described it in terms of how we measure it; not what it is.

Best,

Dave
