I decided I needed to visit the grandsons so it was off to KC. The skys could not have been clearer, the air a crisp 10F, calm winds on the ground, but 40 MPH tail wind @ 9,500' so I had a ground speed of 235!

Had lunch, tossed the grand boys around and back to the airport to hang out with the K3GV FBO seat warmers. A good bunch of guys.

Slight head winds home, but I remained low @ 2,500' MSL to avoid "B" (I just didn't feel like talking to anyone today) and stay out of the high winds aloft.

Not a bump to be found anywhere, not even when I landed. :skeptical:

It was a great day to fly!

The only clouds I could find were coming off cooling towers at power plants.

Sever clear.

We were up too! Boy was it smooth as glass. Although we were out there at 8 in the morning when it was 0 deg. F! Brrr!! We decided to go do some stalls in the practice area. I hadn't seen it that calm and clear in ages! Definitely nice day to fly if you're fine with the cold.

It seemed to be like that all day, not a bump in the sky! I left KC around 3:00 pm and like silk even down low.

I wear long johns & gloves for sure!

I've spent most of the day behind a computer writing code. It was..uhm.. a nice day for that too....

I did just finish running two miles - 13 degrees OAT - very comfortable.
