The recent change in management has made Winkler County a better stop than it used to be for sure! That and probably all the oil folks landing there may have driven some good changes.

I didn't want to badmouth anyone. At the time, the FBO is the guy's house and he didn't seem too happy with a couple of guys dropping in on him in crappy weather like we did, let alone having to drag his extension cord and battery charger out to the plane. But then a friend of his stopped by and they started asking questions and found out that I was retired Air Force, the guy with me was active duty and then the Vietnam stories started. Turned out he was liking 'merica when it came time for us to leave for Midland to get the charging issue fixed.
