If your five day forecast is wrong within three hours of issuing it that’s not a good sign?

That's not within 3 hours, that's simultaneous. Both of them have the time as 8:00 AM EDT.

Maybe they're not expecting any more cyclones to form? An existing tropical storm would be hard to ignore... I think weather folks are perpetually confused around here. It's so unreliable, my CFI jokes they just use one of those magic 8-balls to see what to put in the forecast.

On the 13th, tropical storm development is not expected.

And now on the 15th:

When you harvest prairie hay you would like to get an accurate 36 to 48 hour forecast, For the same time period weather.com predicts a 15% chance of rain while accuweather predicts a 65% chance. Last Sunday the weather forecast looks great, not a cloud in the sky - started mowing and halfway through (3 hours into it) check weather.com and it now forecasts an 80% chance of rain in three hours. Again clear sunny skies - WTF? Decide they are on drugs and keep mowing, did not get a drop. Definite love / hate relationship with weathermen!
