By now I think we've all seen and either bought or drooled over Garmin's aviation-specific smart watches. I noted in the recent iPad thread that more than a few of us are using Android-based tablets for EFB purposes. As I look through the app store for my WearOS smartwatch, I can't help but notice that a) there don't seem to be any aviation-specific apps aside from a few handy watch faces, and b) you could probably write an app that would do everything the D2 does (aside from pulse oxygen monitoring on some models) without *that* much effort. Based on a cursory review of the WearOS documentation, I think you could pull all of the relevant data from whichever EFB the pilot happens to be using on either Android or iOS. At that point, it's just a design project.

I'm no software developer, but I think there are a few of them lurking on this forum. If you'd be interested in working together to build something like this, let me know. It probably wouldn't be a money maker, although the overlap between people who'd use this and people with disposable income is rather high - it's just something I would love to use.
