driving out to PDX a few minutes ago I see a C-17, sure looked like C-17, a lot like one. But it had propellers.

STOL performance is super impressive. There was one at Oshkosh in 17

Serious props on that thing. It's almost a high bypass turbofan without the engine shroud.
