HD Video Camera with hard drive or flash drive storage, and an audio input so I can plug directly from the audio panel into the camera so I am not getting all the prop noise in the video.

Not seeing at first look...

P.S. This is a good review site, and they detail which models have mic in jacks:

Also, what kind of computer will you be editing on? The flash card models are using AVCHD video codecs, and that needs some computational horsepower to edit.

OMG, this wins for best thread title in the list today.

I've got a Win7 box that I built with more than enough ponies to do just about anything.

32GB seems a bit small on the storage if I end up shooting HD for a weekend without being able to offload it.

That one happens to have 32GB built-in, but it has an SDHC card slot as well. Other Canons have just the slot and no built-in memory. They make dual SDHC slot models too (the HF-S series), where you can ping-pong one to another, and remove one that is full while the other is recording.

If you're gonna be shooting that much, an extra high-cap battery is probably in your future, too.

BTW, new camera models that were just announced in January's CES show will be hitting the market in the next month or so.

Ah yes....we should go meet for lunch so I can beat you up and steal it. I mean, so I can look at it and see if it would work for me. :D
