Wall Landing

Not bad. Reversible engine, or was the helicopter bit by a radioactive spider?

Given the speed with which the thrust appears to reverse, my bet is on a reversible pitch propeller rather than a reversible engine.

But... :dunno:

Full negative pitch on the rotor to hold it against the wall?

Guess that is it: when it comes off the wall it falls inverted, yet gains altitude in that attitude relatively smoothly and just as quickly reverses again.

Full negative pitch on the rotor.

He takes off / glides across the floor in Mode 1, which has positive pitch and minor negative, linked with throttle.

Once airborne and about to fly left, you hear the motor spool up to a goverened throttle setting Mode 2. Most collective pitch RC heli's have this setting which sets the throttle at 90% or more, and now your left stick becomes neutral pitch at the middle, full positive and full negative pitch by moving the stick up and down, with no change in throttle.

Very skilled either way. I've built and flown two .30 sized RC helis, and I had my hands full just going around the bases at a baseball field.

Here is my favorite RC Heli pilot, breaking just about every thought you can have about the limits of a Helicopter. Alan Szabo,... nuf said.
