1957 Beech H35 for sale. This fella is a real character. This is causing quite a bit of discussion on another board. The plane is cheap which always causes a lot of interest, but it has a few issues <g>

My thoughts are he should sell it to a golfer that plays with Pings <g>

Best,

Dave
-===========================================================

There is however some damage history, from the logs there appears to have been a couple of gear up landings back in 82' and 88'. At that time the repairs were done accordingly and the aircraft was put back into service. I put it this way about bonanza's, "either it has been on its belly or it will be on its belly!" Also some more bad news, it appears from what ive been told that the plane received some hail damage more than 15 years ago but was still flown and still signed off at every annual. The hail damage is only to the wings, flaps, and ailerons, and just a small portion of the top cabin roof, it isnt major and it isnt minor. I have looked at the tail stabs and ruddavators but didnt see any damage but there might be one or two I didnt see. The plane has flown hundreds of hours since w/ no problems, consider it the "golf ball affect" it fly's better!!

the only problem i see is that it is a v-tail bonanza, pretty much makes it not airworthy in my book

Yep. Could be a decent cheap plane, or could be un airworthy and costly, but I haven't seen many ads this loosey goosey.

Many people acquire a crazy personality as soon as they enter a disintermediated communication. I put his style down to that.

hey at least he seems to be fairly straightforward and honest.

Yep, it's not fair to have any fun with anything as logical as airplane ownership. This is serious business.

To be honest I liked the ad, and would consider the plane if looking for a Bo.

Hmmm. Surprised no one from Green Bay (or fans thereof) have checked in on this yet <g>

I think a John Deere dealer and a regional manager for Waste Management are considering it.

Hmmm.. Most of the golf balls I hit usually have a nasty fade or draw to them. That would be unwelcomed on short final unless you're landing on some dog-leg runways.

The Bo I've worked on looked like a golf ball. Insurance totaled it in 03 due to hail but still airworthy and any issues unrelated to the dents.

As long as you aren't hoping to sell it for anything in the future, it sounds like a pretty affordable Bo with a nice panel. With the damage history and missing logs, I don't think it is quite worth the 'buy-it-now' price though.

I loved this line: " have never flown this aircraft, in fact I dont fly at all. But my mechanic does and has flown this aircraft and has said it fly's good and smooth."

I must say some very key stuff looks well maintained; the panel, the glass, and the engine compartment looks clean and loved. Granted degreaser works wonders but it only goes so far. That compartment looks good for a motor now well past 1k hours. Those are things that matter more to me than nice carpet and paint.

Just saw another gorgeous old Bo for sale at a Cherokee price. Maybe its time to step up. They sure look nice.

They fly nice too!

Plus, it is hard to go back to the Cherokee after you have experienced the comfort of the Beech cabin.

I think my Cheesehead is enough; I don't see the point in purchasing a Cheeseplane.
Besides, the old Green and Gold looks great on a jersey, but would make for a hideous Bonanza paint job.
By the way, we won the Super Bowl.

Okay, I see the gold... Where's the green? :dunno:

For the price, this looks like a pretty nice plane. If everything is in order other than what's in the ad, somebody could get a pretty good bargain - It's at least good for a time-builder complex.

Yep Kent, that's why folks keep coming back to it. Could be a decent beginning Bo and has a 430. OTOH, one couldn't rely much on the seller. One could look at the logs and talk to the maintenance fella. It's nice to know the seller took care of the plane.

We still talk to the folks that sold us the 58P on occasion, and I have a decent relationship with the couple I sold my TN A-36 to. When we were selling the A-36, several folks passed the word because they knew what good care we took of the plane.

What I find interesting is that the engine seems to have 7 cylinders. :dunno:
