Venturing into a forum that isn't Spin Zone (N/A)

All right. That's it.
I have GOT to get myself to the ocean again - soon.

In some ways I miss living by the ocean too. Luckily I get to visit from time to time. Nice pictures Elizabeth!

I took some pictures last week too. These were taken on a hike to the Devil's Head fire lookout which is on the Front Range SW of Denver. This is my first attempt at posting a slideshow but here goes...

Very nice Mari! My first trip to Colorado was exactly a year ago this week... I would love to be back out there hiking.

Grant, better look out or I'll send you more. Thanks! I might even be able to sell a few to a local restaurant down tere, they saw my camera and the waiter introduced me to the manager.

Are those all your pictures, Beth?

Holy cow, they're phenominal!

JOhn, thanks!

Do you have horses? My poop scooping days are long over - I used to help out where we boarded my horse many eons ago and had the calluses to prove it.

Nick, thanks! They are mine. My little obsession these days...

LOL, no, just a German Shorthair/Australian Shepard mutt, but pound for pound he's gotta be in Percheron territory for digestive output!

My better half used to train race horses years ago, and I think there'll be another horse in the future for us, especially when our granddaughter gets big enough to ride...I'm OK on the old gray mare that knows her way back to the barn, but that's about as far as it goes for me.

fwiw - very nice.

any aircraft/flying pictures in the future?

Wow, those are, as usual, fantastic! You and and Brook(e) should go into business together, you could make some real money selling your photos! I'd go down to my beach and take some pictures, but I'm sure I'd be disappointed in my results compared to those!

Thanks Teller - having the sun as a backdrop makes for some vivid colors. I'd like to see your avatar as a big photo!

Thanks Dave and Brook!

Brook, you should post more of your ballooning photos... I looked on your flickr site, they are really colorful...

Nice pix, Beth. You do have a good eye. What I'm impressed about is your horizons square. Mine tend to slope up hill (fairly dramatically too!). Do you use a tripod?

Back to NC next month. Let's see how I do with my new camera.

Thanks John. I used a tripod for the sunset ones, not sunrise (other than the one on the bridge). It won't help with the horizon though, since the ground could be uneven, etc. I bought a fancy ball head for mine though, it has a bubble level built in for both vertical and horizontal. I've had some uneven ones, believe me! One that I entered into a contest came in third even though I realized it was off kilter after I printed it. Oops.
