Hi Everyone.

If a CFI has all the required documents from the applicants and they meet all the requirements, can that be done, assuming they are both at the 2 different Terminals / devices at the same time, but different locations?

If yes, how?

Thanks.

Remote sign-offs are done routinely for things like written tests. In terms of sign-offs in IACRA, it is easier to do these in-person, but they can also be done remotely. I am aware of no regulation that requires in-person meetings for the completion of required paperwork.

Hi.
In the case of sUAS, IACRA sign off, it would seem that much of the information needs to be added and or confirmed by both at the same time?

My wife recently tried to use IACRA to have our CFI sign her off for the student license. There didn't seem to be a way to do it from each of our homes and our CFI ended up driving over to our house to do it on one machine.

It is one IACRA session, with steps that require both the student and instructor to log in at different times.

The way to do it remote is to have the two individuals connected remotely via Webex (or any other equivalent), and allowing the remote person to control the screen for the login steps.
