Used Avionics at OSH?

This is only my second trip to OSH coming up. So I have missed more than I have ever seen. Is there an area where used avionics are sold from legit business? May pick of a 430W if I find the right deal. Yes, I know they are not supported

There is the fly market tent where people bring all kinds of stuff in, there are a lot of avionics dealers in the big buildings selling a lot of used and new avionics and in one the buildings is a aircraft salvage company that has radios Wentworth is the name. You will find a lot for sale at OSH

Probably want find something like that in the fly market but definitely plenty of used vendors in the Hangars

A number of the avionics vendors bring in used stuff. I've never noticed any great deals though.

As @steingar said, there will be plenty of used options, but they won't be discount... They'll be accurate prices. (not gonna get the eBay sale or other stuff on things they ship to, and potentially back from, the show)

What makes you think they aren't supported?

I've always assumed you could negotiate the prices down a bit on the used stuff.

One tactic I've used at OSH, when buying something that is available in reasonable quantity (e.g. not some one-of-a-kind item), is to do the research during the week and wait until afternoon of the last day of the show as the vendors are getting ready to pack up. Most will entertain much more aggressive offers as one more sale is one less thing to have to haul back home.

430Ws and 28v 430s are still supported.

If you're planning on shopping at the fly market, get there early in the week/day.

Honestly I've never seen anything even remotely worth buying avionics-wise. I mean seriously, when I was down in SnF, I counted at least a dozen LORAN C units for sale, priced from $5 to $30. Who is going to buy that???

Wentworth aircraft salvage always has a booth there. They will have used stuff,although I never thought it was that inexpensive. But if you are there I would stop by and see what they have.

For $5, I'd buy an old LORAN that powered up and hook it up to a power supply for my airplane-nut kid to play with.
