USAF Museum photos.

Notably missing (shown but on display) are the aircraft used for the various Presidential AF-1 from Truman thru present

If you haven't been, you must go, but make sure you have an entire day and don't go with anyone who gets bored looking at airplanes.

I flew there from Philly one Saturday, only had maybe 4hrs - not nearly enough. I guess that means I need to go back!

I spent two full days there. All I did was run from one display to to the next to set up the tripod and camera, hit the shutter, then run to the next one -- all to bring those photos home to see if I had a good time. (I did) :D

Hmmm I've never been. Maybe we need to have a PoA fly out.

I was out there in Dec. of '07. It was one of the best museums I've ever seen. The admission is free which is even better.

The next day, I spent $20 going to the Museum of Rock & Roll in Cleveland, I'm still trying to get my money back. :-P

I've long wanted to get over to Wright Patt. Excellent pictures.

I still get mad over what Curtiss did to the Wright Bros.

The Thomas Morse looks quite similar to the Standard J-1. I'll take either one, please.

In picture 89, the Catalina is named, "SNAFU Snatchers". I can see that...great name for what they did.

Stopped through there on my trip last May. Flew into Jackson-Greene airport just south of WPAFB. Great people there.

We only had the next morning to visit the AF Museum, but we did get to the Presidential and experimental hangers. Well worth the trip.
