So I’m new here & I tried to upload a pic during a chat however I received an error message saying file was too big ? The image was a regular picture taken with an iPhone 8plus.
I went into my settings on the iPhone, and cannot find anything that lowers the resolution. Any suggestions?
 
Couple of apps out there to do it or you can email the photo to yourself before posting, which reduces it. One workaround I've heard is to load the photo and take a screenshot of it. The screenshot is lower resolution than the original.

Chat is the only place that does that I believe. I have had the same problem on my iPhone 7+. A photo that is too large for chat, uploads just fine in a regular thread, from my experience.

One trick that seems to work is selecting ‘square’ in the iPhone camera and take the picture that way.
