Anybody know how Uber Copter does its business? It seems to use the same Uber app as the ride sharing service, to get a ride from Manhattan to JFK.

Is it like a Part 135 air taxi service where a company, Uber, owns the aircraft and employs the pilot? Or does it operate more like Uber car sharing, where the cars are owned and operated by individuals who merely use the Uber app to get riders?

No. Uber is an indirect air carrier in that they broker flights. I believe their current aircraft operator who actually flies the routes is Heliflite??

Sanjeet scared the bejesus out of me on the car Uber ride. Helicopter? No thanks.

One of a 100 charter brokers, except that they can leverage their name and their app to get leads.

Looks like the PanAm heli shuttle warmed over.
