I didn't want to hijack Tristan's thread about the sun any further so posted this here.

Ok need some help with a twilight zone episode regarding the sun. I remember it totally freaked me out.

The world was perpetually cloudy and rainy. The sun had not been out in decades. Very glum. Kids in school used to take ultra violet tanning bed type treatments . Then The sun was forcast to come out for like one hour and everyone was acting as if the messiah was comming. The kids in the school tormented this one kid and locked him in a closet, the sun came out and he never got to experience the sun. Damn that was so freaking depressing. Anyone remember that episode?

I remember the show - but I do not think it was The Twilight Zone. I think it was Outer Limits, maybe.

Original story, "All Summer in a Day," by Ray Bradbury.

Looks like somebody chopped it into three clips, and put it up on youtube.

I love that story, and today I can emphathize... there's suddenly all this blue stuff overhead, and this very bright light... weird, but very nice. :D

Sounds like a reverse take on Isaac Asimov's classic "Nightfall".
