TSA Finds Explosive

Something also apparently prompted them to swab for explosives, for <insert reason here>.
Must have been powder. They flag anything with powder including vitamins.

At least they allow powders. Turns out some countries don't allow over 300 grams of powder, including ground coffee. I was half tempted to demand they explain the McGuyver level plot to involving dark roast.

My confidence dropped significantly after arriving home from a camping trip and finding a family member had inadvertently packed two of the large, full camping propane cylinders into one of our checked bags full of assorted camping paraphernalia.

Which all arrived unscathed and unopened at our destination.

Last time they felt me up I asked for a female agent. I mean I am paying for this so I might as well enjoy it a bit.

Such poor customer service in denying my request.
I used to get random all the time, so I actually did this. I told the officer that I identified as a woman and wanted a woman to pat me down. He told me that it didn't matter what I identified as, they go by what you "present" as.

"Yeah, that small bottle of liquid labeled Dasani, that I saw you drink in front of me, might be a bomb. So I'm gonna need you to throw it away in this trash can, with all the other potential bombs, in the middle of the most crowded section of the airport."

I love this bit..

So ... what's "clock boy" up to these days?

ETA: The way I read the article, and I could be wrong, the front line TSA agent was tipped by another source… layers of security.

I watched a guy jump the gate in front of the tram to the terminal that requires a boarding pass, so I attempted to inform a TSA agent of what I saw, and they just kept yelling at me to get back in line and completely ignored me.

In the end the guy was just a moron that couldn't figure out how to scan his pass correctly, but a bad guy could pretend the same thing.... I guess with enough layers even the TSA can accomplish something good.

Want to board a commercial flight, but you have no government ID whatsoever? No Problem! The TSA will accept a copy of your own active arrest warrant as valid proof of ID!

The only caveat is that you have to be a foreign national. Arrest warrants for US citizens won't be accepted.

"These forms are civil immigration violation documents, do not include criminal arrest warrants, and are not indicative of a threat to public safety or national security."

ICE is required to attach these forms to any request to hold a person who has violated U.S. immigration and visa policies.

So a news article didn't tell the whole story? Color me shocked. ;)
