Howdy Folks!

Looking to upgrade the old Cherokee 180D with a glass VFR panel.

I've read many different posts on various forums about Dynons HDX and the AeroCruze Autopilot.

Any owners wish to share their experiences with either product here? I know the AeroCruze still has it's IFR limits (700' AGL I believe?). But I'm building this 180 to be a summer VFR cruiser now.

I've become part owner of a Seneca for the pea soup flying days. I refuse to get rid of my lil Cherokee. But the failure of the Vacuum pump and need for a repaint, it's time she gets some well deserved upgrades.

Thanks!

Paging @Jesse Saint

Aerocruze does everything I need. I wish the baro was sync'd to the Dynon. Instead gotta play a game every altimeter change. No autotrim and it is very sensitive calling for it. Usually a bump of the yoke makes that annunciator go away. Minor nits. But no complaints. It will however get pulled if the Dynon ever gets theirs approved.

I have zero complaints about Dynon. Customer service has been excellent. My A&P has shown dads plane to other customers. I like not needing to go to a dealer when/if there's an issue. My cfi has never flown anything Dynon. His club plane is all Garmin glass. He figured the Dynon out in a few minutes and seemed pretty impressed. Now if only I could convince dad he doesn't need the iPad anymore except for sending a flight plan to the panel.
