my favorite thread here to date, and most likely a troll thread, was someone asking about spraying cold water into a hot engine and hearing a metallic ting sound

It spun off a number of other threads "spraying hot fire into a cold engine" etc

So that's why @EdFred was so bent about ADSB. Oh wait, Ed doesn't have a miss, let alone a mistress.

Speaking of bending PoA members out of shape.... please please start writing new "As the Propeller Turns" episodes or other stories (I really treasure the one you did about me and our flight with Murphey the St. Bernard). Your early before video written work was some of the best stuff. It was something I and many others always looked forward to seeing when we logged into PoA.

There used to be a "Nomex Maximus" posting on the red board. He changed his user name to MilStd1750A after he created a firestorm over there by insisting that the Reno Air Races should be ended after a Mustang crash killed some bystanders.

Speaking of trolling, besides the Nomex incident, bonus points to those that can figure out which members on here are my alter egos.

Oh, and I've covered my tracks way too well for the MC to be able to find me through an IP search.

Henning was going to get some unsuspecting...unsophisticated (in flying/piloting terms)...member killed one day with his regular supply untrue, false, and/or made-up, BS.

I miss him not. Life's too short without the need to worry about what stupid chit he made up today and posted that'll get someone killed. Let him do it elsewhere.

I have a trolling motor .
I bought it in Calgary, Alberta a few years back . Was up there for a British Militiaria Shoot.
It was on sale at a grand opening of a sporting goods store.
Rates as one of my "Best Buys"
But how do I get it to work on this board ?
Works well on my 8' Jon Boat.

I asked my dumb question, and nobody accused me of trolling. I truly wasn't, just asking a question that made me curious, incase I ever win a lottery.
 
The most idiotic I ever saw was the yo-yo on the Red Board who had all sorts of “proof” no airliners were hijacked on 9/11 and crashed into things. It was really difficult to determine if he was truly stupid or a magnificent troll.

Responded to a troll once. Brand new poster making some easily proven false claims. They disappeared a few posts later

My understanding is that north of the Mason-Dixon line that "troll" is pronounced with a strong "ah" sound, much like the sound when the doctor places the tongue depressor in your mouth and asks you to say "ah" . However, in the deep south it is pronounced with a strong "oh", much like the sound you make when the urologist checks your prostate.

That is a great idea. Put a kayak in the back of the plane. We call this an adventure tour. You get to fly the first third, and paddle the other two thirds.
