I have a 170b and a MX 12
I know they are old as heck. I sold my Grumman and I want to get them serviced before I hand the plane over to the buyer. I just want it to be right.
about 25% of the time, I turn them on and they are stuck on a frequency. I can twist the knobs all day either direction and they will just stick on the same frequency or maybe move up or down 1 digit.
Anyone have this issue before?
I am thinking I have to remove them and send them in.
I may get an estimate to have them repaired and offer the buyer that much toward fixing them or replacing them. I don't want to delay the process but I also don't want him frustrated that the radios periodically get stuck.
