Apparently there is already one going about the guy that crashed his plane into his house. So I will modify this one since I cannot delete it.

So what is everyone having for lunch today?

ha, I guessed this one right.

No insurance will pay on that home or airplane, right?

I am eating sun flower seeds and Goji berries but I want to get a slice of pizza somewhere.

Boiled chicken breast, boiled potato, salad made up of raw broccoli, raw cauliflower, sliced raw green pepper, baby corn, sliced water chestnuts with 2, lets count them together, 2 jumbo shrimps.

For dessert I may call and order a large deep pan pizza.... (ok, I won't but the dream keeps me alive)

I was planning on making a $100 hamburger run, but my water heater decided that I needed to stay home and wait for the repair man. So my lunch turned into a $200 sandwich at home.

My daughter made some pasta that she wasn't real impressed with, so I ate that. It has tomatoes, black olives, and eggplant. With some salt and pepper added it was very good.

Last week, I had to change my network password. In that password, I included the name of a food item. By Thursday, I could no longer resist and went out to get said food item. I didn't get that exact food item, instead I got a stromboli, man was that good. Note to self: do not include the name of a food item in your password unless you plan on going out to get said item.

There are several slices of pizza from last Friday in the work fridge. You are welcome to a few if I don't end up taking the plunge myself.

And on Friday at the DFW POA meet up?

Well it's not about what I had for lunch, as I had the same thing for lunch I have nearly every day. It's how I paid for it. See...

I received a gift card for $25 right. I cannot redeem cash with it. If I order a lettuce wrapped, double Habit burger with cheese and avocado, a side salad with no croutons and ranch dressing, and a regular drink, it costs me $12.40. Think about it. Two days of eating out a Habit (okay, something didn't sound quite right there) will get me within 20 cents of full redemption. Okay, this theme is sounding mildly Catholic.

But here's the thing. My burger combo did not cost me $12.40. It cost me $10.90. Why did it cost me $10.90. The senior Burger Girls are authorized to hook me up with a free drink occasionally. The math won't work out favorably if I used the gift card (as in I'd actually have to do math, which I don't want to do) so I used the normal credit card, saving the gift card for better utilization. It's all or none. Nun. None.

Or I could simply have five beers Crop & Saddle during happy hour. Or four beers and a tip. The Crop & Saddle is fictitious British pub in my Bruce Highland novels (re. Sac's Hack thread) modeled after the real place downtown. I do not plan on going to a fictitious place. I plan on going to the real place. That is, if I go.

Living dangerously.......or is this the new OTC colonoscopy prep I’ve been hearing about?

Overheard at lunch:
Cow-orker #1: "Want some potato chips?"
Cow-orker #2: "No thanks, too oily for me", while pulling a big bowl of tempura over fried rice out of the microwave.

Too many threads on what's for lunch....

What did you have for a midnight snack.???

hasenpfeffer. That's the correct spelling. I am not really having rabbit, I just like saying hasenpfeffer. It's from a bugs bunny cartoon

So, on your last day, meaning death bed, will you have a good meal or eat like your Doc wants you to? :)

Boiled chicken breast? Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

Gus’ spicy fried chicken, fried okra, fried pickles, beans and slaw. Not an everyday affair but darn good.

But yeah, eman, breakfast for lunch or dinner or breakfast is darn fine.
