The Weather Has Me Puzzled

A few more overcast days and the new fence will be done. A few more after that and the old fence will be gone.

Sit in the hangar. Shoot breeze. Talk about flying. That what today was, then my CFI called and said it’s crappy. Let’s go up and shoot your checkride approaches. So we did. Weather is weird In The northeast recently. Tomorrow will be a NoGo day.

I met my girlfriend with her son (he's nine) at the airport because the kid loves to fly, and I've been promising him for awhile to take him up again. Weatherman said clear skies today, but AWOS said 400 overcast.
Then I heard the AWOS report 400 scattered, so I grabbed the kid, started the plane up fast, and flew three times around the pattern. I would have done 4 times around, but on the third time I noticed fog nearby...I think it went the other way though as it never seemed to fog up at the airport after the flight...oh well, at least the kid got up for .5 hours.

F’n still going to send it

Don't be silly. That bridge is too small to fly under.

I believe this is real and was filmed for a TV series.

"In a famous scene from Piece of Cake, Hanna flew his Spitfire under the bridge at Winston, near Bernard Castle."

The man died in his bed at the age of 77 after a lifetime of flying. I think he owned the Spitfire used in the film.

Wow just at Bernard Castle last summer and crossed that bridge...never knew this...all my family are from this area and a little further north to Newcastle...really neat market town away from the normal tourist stuff...

I planned a flight for this morning as the TAF last night indicated VFR and 5 kts straight down the runway. Got up like it was Christmas morning only to find an airmet tango and IFR under the tree. I need another puzzle. :(
