I'll start...

Hey @stratobee - any updates on your Commander?

Was just thinking about your thread where you were getting started throwing piles of cash on the bonfire... :)

Hadn't seen anything in a while. Good? Bad? Ugly? Worse... Atlanta Falcons? Haha.

Meanwhile... anyone else think of any projects or folks we haven't heard from in a while?

Well, I was wondering about Ben recently, sadly that question was answered in the worst possible way.

*ell. I'll start one and update it all in one fell swoop.
1. wanted airplane
2. shopped
3. bought
4. emptied piggy bank fixing, actually trying to fix
5. selling parts

It was somewhere between 2 and 3 that the rectal cranial inversion took place

@calberto, said he was going to go fly F-35s for the Jar Heads...well, not word for word.

Haha I'm still trying to get there. Passed my aptitude test a couple weeks ago for aviation school. Got to get past two medicals, and I'll be good to go! (to fly something for the Marines; F-35 would be awesome though)

Two medicals? We did one in the Army (class 1A). It sucked. Was an all day affair and that didn't even include the doctors appt. Had to schedule that for later.

Good luck man!

Thank you!

And I had to go through the basic MEPS medical to become an officer (which I'm still waiting to hear back from), and then if that goes through fine I'll have to go to Chicago or Florida for the more thorough Aviation Medical Exam.

Thank you!

This is exactly correct. My son recently did this for the Navy.

Ok, MEPS accepted my aviation physical. It was current and included everything the MEPS physical had and more. All I used MEPS for was taking the oath.

Do they require passing the Marine physical fitness test with the application?

I've had an all day affair or two.....oh, never mind

Stratobee is alive and well, and so is his Commander.

Oh it took a few months to get approved for me. That's with no waivers. My annual FAA class 2 is a joke compared to a military entrance flight physical.

Oh I figured. He just hasn't updated here or his YT videos in quite a while. Was hoping his airplane was happy now. Last video he was doing avionics.

Last we talked it still had a bit more time in the shop getting interior as well. Should be done soon. He's had a lot going on.

6PC needs to update us on his back door, the air conditioner situation, neighbor situation, any other house issue I have forgotten, and we need another episode of the POA conversations he writes about. I forget the name. Also the spider situation.

I bet. The news that all the windows were leaking for the pressurization sounded to me like... "Yep, he's going to do the interior, too." :)

I really want to see his airplane fly when he gets done but the cash he's having to throw into it is a warning for the unprepared, that's for sure.

I don't know who his "80 year old expert" was who was doing his test flights with him, but assume he's been around the block on Commanders a few times. I got a chuckle out of him in the right seat in one of the videos.

I also noticed he made @stratobee slow down a bit on gear retraction at takeoff... it's just a technique thing but he made me cringe watching the Aerostar videos when he'd slap them up at liftoff when he had lots of runway remaining...but whatever... like I say, just a technique thing... and his AStar went up a lot better than than anything I've flown... :)

Really I just have a secret love for Rockwell stuff... but not the piece tags to maintain them... shhhh... I can hear my wallet whimpering from my back pocket and little sobs coming from back there any time I mention it. Hahahah.

6PC, please update us on your situation..... better?
Somewhat better. Not to disparage your efforts to respond to my request but this particular situation and its rather sensitive nature may require a tad bit more effort. An effort perhaps even worthy of a denverpilot type response. Are you up to the challenge?

I don't care if @SixPapaCharlie's door falls down. :) Why are you dragging ME into this?! (GRIN)

Well the rather potentially sensitive nature of discussing back doors may require some delicacy and elocution in order to avoid offending or prompting various and sundry segments of the general population of POA and perhaps even the world at large.

Nope! I would rather go through an FAA check ride. :)

And you think I'm the guy for sensitivity and delicacy?! LOL. You've met me. I don't have any idea where you've gotten this silly idea. :)

I'm the guy working on my, "Stop doing that or you're going to kill both of us," look.

Now I understand that many concepts are on the table here along with a broad audience base. The suggestion of the type of thorough response did not include the proclivities of the referenced poster. Nay, only the type of response was referenced without invoking the personal, political, or professional viewpoints of said poster.

Proclivities. Wow. You started the beer right at 17:00 today, didn't you?! :)

If you did, congrats by the way. I'm sitting here dealing with a vendor who doesn't quite understand that three months is a bit long to accomplish this ticket... "Turn off that machine and stop billing us for it."

But they created themselves a nice "hell" to be "offended" about when I said, "Thanks for finally turning it off, you'll be refunding the money paid since February when we originally asked to turn it off, correct?" LOL.

They tried for three months to get us to sign a new contract with cancelation fees once they realized we are slowly shutting everything we have there, down. I said, "No, we don't need that. Month to month is fine."

I don't think they like me now. As if I care. :)

You don't use the word proclivities when sober?

Negative. I don't even use it when drinking. But I suppose it's something to aspire to the next time I have Fireball.
Proclivities is a wonderful word....but now I have to wonder if Fireball is a new euphemism...

Backdoor came out great!

A/c fixed very inexpensively. Got a new A/C for life guy

Neighbor moved away thank God!

Spiders? Yeesh they are everywhere but I'm coming to terms with it.

Haven't written this week on POA but I will soon have a blog site to share, a couple new aviation applications, and I'm sitting on a series of 7 videos. Going to upload 1 a day during OSH.

Then I'm going to bed.
