I've been known to land a lear with multlple failed systems in a sixty knot cross wind. I'd like to see some of you try that. That's right go ahead and laugh but I am the one laughing at you.

Coarse texan...
I can barely talk when I'm around a hot chick and you expect me to spell?
Sim's are great, but you don't get that "oh ****, I don't have enough energy!" or the "oh ****, I have too much energy!" feeling that you get between your eyes and your butt.
Doesn't matter to Dick Galt; no writtens, no logged time, no clue. Simply a legend in his own mind, a fine connoisseur of obsolete aircraft. Good one, Henning, on the "Guitar Hero"...wonder if he can do that in a 60 knot wind.
no writtens
Cougar hell. She looks to be 5-10yrs younger than me. Wrap it up, I'll take it.
The only way you're going to impress a girl with an airplane is if you have something with range and speed and can afford to take them to far off destinations.
But really, my $1,000 boat is better for having fun with girls than most airplanes.
Baboons? When was the last time you boarded a commercial flight crewed by baboons?
Knock yourself out. Please be specific.
I am truly astonished at the animosity exhibited by so many here. Why is that? Are you threatened by someone with natural talent and forward thinking and determination? is it so unusual to find an individual of prodigious talent who has been known to conquer ANY type of plane in a sim which everyone knows and must concede is often more difficult than the physical device?
I'm sure you're a very gifted MSFS pilot - a 60 knot crosswind is quite the accomplishment. When you try that in a real Lear sim, please have them video it for us - it will surely be quite "entertaining". My best guess is that if you tried in in the airplane much above 35 - 40 knots you'd drag a tip tank and make the local evening news. I'm wondering how accurately MSFS duplicates the pitch sensitivity of the real airplane? In the real airplane each degree of pitch change is good for about 800 fpm climb or descent at cruise speed.I've been known to land a lear with multlple failed systems in a sixty knot cross wind...
What airplane will you use for your private training? A Cessna 172? Please let us know how long it takes you to solo. Based upon what you've said, I wouldn't expect it to take very long at all, 3 or 4 hours maybe? You ought to be able to knock that out in an afternoon.
I see you avoided the question Baboona. Makes me think that perhaps you're a connoisseur of the mundane, and practitioner of failed choices in life, a bitter and disappointed would-be aviator who is jealous of young talent and brilliance such as myself. Ah yes, I see it now. Why else heap scorn on my plans?
And you and Henning are getting each other all worked up over MSFS and Guitar Hero... Who said anything about MSFS and Guitar Hero? You all assume much about me.
Because you have never done it in the plane. Hell, I did a 54kt crosswind landing at DFW in a 777 and greased it on. It was in AA's sim. You're flying a PC sim, that's about as accurate to flying a plane as Guitar Hero is to playing a guitar.
So magnanimous of you.
That said, I encourage you to take that step forward and acquire the Learjet project you have described. Do so at your own peril; the situation is fraught with danger. The advice you have received thus far carries some validity, but you have no obligation to follow it. Any of it.
In Texas, I've known ranchers with intractable situations. They kept-up appearances and championed their own superior skills shamelessly. Big hat, no cattle. Get my drift? If it's advice you want, you've gotten a lot already, and I think you should see that this probably isn't the place to get a lot of cheer-leading for your project. I am happy to engage in civil discourse, but I insist it must be based on an appropriate knowledge base and verifiable information. Ad hominem attacks are out-of-bounds, and usually flag a losing position. I, however, reserve the right to lampoon your preposterous posts.
PS: How tall is that guy with the helmet?
You, sir/miss are delusional.
I choose to ignore.

Some of you get it some don't. Thanks for the social pointers gucci pilot but no thanks. What kind of places do you dance at? Gucci seriously?
I would challenge any one of you to a competition in the sim on any plane. I am naturally gifted.
And Babboona no it's not about getting babes. I don't need any help there. This is about someone who truly loves aviation and respects one of the finest private jets ever made, the early lear jets. Don't you get that? What are your credentials anyway? i'd like to hear them.
Wow ! Which systems would those be ? How many "systems" on a Lear ? What type Lear ?
I have NO doubt you're "naturally gifted" but where I come from we call that "touched".
"I would challenge any one of you to a competition in the sim on any plane."
I'll take that challenge with a small twist. We do it on your little play sim, on which you may or may not be able to beat me. And then we do it in a real Lear 25, in the air not the make believe world. All you have to do is supply the plane, which should be easy to do for someone with your superior everything. My guess is that you would not be able to even keep it on the taxiway to the runway.
What do you say? I'm free this week. You can pick the airport.
The reason the old Lears are so damn cheap is because nobody wants them. There are plenty of people running around in private jets, but you'll see, they're not older Lears and the cost to purchase is considerably higher.
That said, they are a hell of a lot cheaper to operate over time. If you really want a jet an old lear isn't going to be what you want.
I suggest you learn to fly (which will be in a small single) and see if you like it. You'll start to see what kind of airplane you really want after you have some hours under your belt.
Technically it doesn't have to start in a single. I know two females who bought light twins in this area in the 90s as their first aircraft and had goals to go to the airlines. One made it for sure. Got hired by Mesa back in the day and sold off the beater. 310. The other landed gear up and broke hers. I never heard if she got back on the horse. Neither had ever held a single engine ticket when I met them. One had a lot more money than the other.
This is the same troll we have seen here again and again.
Why would we entertain someone without a PPL asking how to buy and fly the space shuttle?
This is beyond stupid.
ignore.

^^^^ yeah that.
Home PC SIM's do not have rudder pedals, trim wheels, brakes, etc.... the dexterity between muscles and operations just ain't there.
Apples and oranges.
Now now, remember, everybody gets a trophy, even those who had to wear a hockey helmet on the short bus.
