Sorry, gang, just trying to figure out how to insert images into text.

This is the Kitplanes AeroLectrics author and technical consultant (in 1959).

Well, $#!+ . That didn't work.

Neither did that. I need step by step help. Thanks

I'm finding it extremely difficult to ignore this thread.

is it 'asterisks' or is it 'asterii' ?

I don't know about asterisks. But I do know the one about 'disaster'

Teacher: Johnny, can you use 'disaster' in a sentence?

Johnny: Sure, the lady backed into an airplane propeller and it disaster.

right click on the image or the image link and select 'copy shortcut', I believe

That would undoubtedly work, but I have absolutely no idea where you got the URL.

THanks,

Jim

I clicked on your thumbnail which brought up a pop-up and then clicked on that pop-up which opened a new tab.

worked for me, sort of. follow these steps 1 by 1.

 • post reply
 • click add attachments
 • browse for image, UPLOAD
 • close that window, it should bring u back to ur post
 • scroll down, you should see 'attach files' with your attachment name there
 • RITE click on it, select 'copy shortcut' (assuming ur on windows)
 • go back up to your post, select the 'insert image' button
 • RITE click and PASTE the link you copied earlier
 • scroll down to manage attachments and you can remove it from there
 • submit reply
ok, going to drink beer now, good luck!

Can anyone tell me how to enter the pattern if I'm coming from the opposite side of the field?

If you google "white square" the images that are returned above the results are blank.

Must be a bug

Weird Jim,

Just click the image (yellow square w/ mountains icon) above your post and paste the URL. That will stick it in the body.

Oh damn. You mixed drink conniesewers need to return your man cards. Promptly. I'm sitting in the palazzo in Vegas having a Jack Daniels, that's all, just Jack Daniels.

Prohibition is over folks, no need to mask the taste of the drink.

Try:

attachment.php
but without asterisks

Sam, you can wrap anything you don't want vBulletin to convert in 'noparse' tags like my example below:

attachment.php

Works better than the 'code' tags.

Thanks. I tried quotes the first time but vbulletin figured it out. Kind of funny that Jim is trying to post a picture and I couldn't get it to not post a picture!

I've skipped by that "metal landing calculator" a few times when it was posted. I guess it really took off. Maybe I should go back and read it.

Wish I had one when all of the pilots ate the fish.

If he is trying to post a picture linked to an URL address, can't he just use the IMG commands (with brackets)?
