Take your friends flying...

Dang. I'm sorry, Tony. You'll be in my prayers.

dont pray for me Jason, pray for Ryan and his family. He wasnt a particularly close friend but was a friend, one of my roomates my first year at Iowa State. Every time I talked to him it was "one of these days you are going to have to take me up in an airplane, i think that'd be cool". that was the first thing that came to mind last night when another former roomate called me with the news. damn.

Tony, point well taken. At twenty-six years of age you think you have all the time in the world... :(

Point taken, Tony, and I agree- persistence is worth the trouble. Carpe diem, etc.

I've been fortunate enough to have a few close friends who were willing to go up with me... one of the first such friends was snatched away suddenly almost a year ago. Survived his flight with me as well as some major health problems, only to get nailed by a pickup truck while crossing the street less then two blocks from his house.
Worst thing was that I was working out of town and made it home and to the hospital just after they pulled the plug on him.
But it's OK- we had one good flight together. Out of Lincoln Park, NJ for a "Hudson Scenic" through the corridor with a U-turn around "The Lady". I was thrilled to have some company, and he had some cash with him. ;)

It was a little bumpy...and I warned him to not look through the camcorder too much until he got acclimated.

Billy was my only passenger who's vomited so far; makes me miss him even more. Definitely the most memorable flight with a friend... :D

The point again: invite your friends to go flying, more than once if necessary.
:D
While you're all still around.
;)

Man.. Sorry to hear this Tony. :( Any idea what took this VERY young guy away so early?

they are thinking some sort of allergic reaction to medication. autopsy blood work will take weeks to get back so no one knows exactly for sure.
