Does anyone know what happened to this airport? It just randomly disappeared from the FAA's database in the most recent update. Usually, when an airport closes, it is indicated as being closed for a while before it disappears.

Looked like a neat place. I'm disappointed to see it go away, and I hope its an oversight on the FAA's part.

Nick, there were some really boneheaded actors who wrecked their airplanes at McGehee's, and the owners decided to shut down the strip. Last I saw, they had built a fence across it.

I didn't know this. I almost flew over there last year for dinner...hate to see all the little treasures closing. It was well know back when I lived in Dallas.

A closely-confined 2450' grass strip - no problem for a 172, 182, Cherokee - even a Bonanza.

But, a Pressurized Baron? I'll allow Dave S (if he chooses) to comment on whether he'd take his into 2450' with three passengers.
