So a number of the local PoA pilots are planning on flying in for brunch at KAVQ, Marana, AZ. Arrivals 10:30-11 AM on Friday March 26. All are welcome to join us.

The Sky Rider Coffee Shop will be able to serve our group outside on the patio to help with social distancing.

Sounds like we have at least 4 planes and 6 people, maybe more.

All interested please join us! We will be eating at the outside tables for better safety.

I was wondering if there was going to be a last ditch effort.

I’m still in

Good seeing @Timbeck2 and @Pilawt at Marana today. A bit bumpy at times but otherwise pleasant flight mostly under clouds. Not our normal sunny AZ flying weather.

They vectored me all over the place and my kidneys were taking a beating with all the bumps. 23 Kt cross upon landing and my radio issue came back right after I landed. But it was good to see folks again even if it was only three of us

Pretty sure it was just worn out. Jeff and I found another gate with the same code. That one worked

Ok, ok. Here is a pic of the gate code. Which did not work on that gate. It worked 1.5 weeks ago after multiple tries but not today.

A pic is a pic - you heard the man!
Oh, ok.

Here's Peter's airplane ... clearly unairworthy, as it has no struts! o_O

At least mine wasn't the only Skyhawk on the field ... :p

Got a nice view of Pinal Airpark (MZJ) on the way down there.

Got a photo of Picacho Peak (literally translated, "Peak Peak" ), site of the westernmost battle of the Civil War.

I believe that would be a partial translation. The noun-modifier order is reversed in Spanish as compared to English so a literal translation of Picacho Peak would be Picacho Peak. :)

Sorry for not being there today. I fired up but had a case of morning sickness. It cleared but didn’t want to take the chance of it trapping me away from home, or worse, sticking while in flight.

I’m grounded until I get a chance to ream some exhaust valves.

We would have enjoyed seeing you ... but it was yesterday!
