Surefly E-mag Roll Call

Okay there's several threads on this now... What's the ratio, who's got a Surefly E-mag, and who's got problems?

I have a surefly in my bonanza and no problems yet with over 100 hours on it.

I had problems running an experimental in the advance mode. No issues in the normal fixed timing mode. Surefly provided lots of assistance but we never sorted it out. Runs great in the fixed mode. Local shop has installed 3 dozen or so most running in advance mode with zero issues.

In my Arrow II on advance mode. Several hundred hours no problem. I can lean down to 8.7 gallons an hour.

I have been running my SureFly on fixed timing mode with no apparent issues ~ 300 hrs ago. Mechanic is switching it over to advance mode now. It will be interesting whether I see a noticeable change.

Anecdotal, but guy flew up here in a 172 with one and it failed. Was found on run-up before heading back out.
