Apologies if everyone has already seen this, but it was new to my YouTube feed. Especially enjoyed the part about the use of ethanol as a refrigerant for the environmental control system.

Edit.... hahah!! The main bogey wheel being set free on rotation of the TU-22M... :D Just about spit out my coffee on that one!

I follow a bunch of Soviet and Russian aviation stuff, I just watched this too the other day haha.

I always thought the Blinder was a particular "mean" looking Soviet plane, had no idea it had such a storied history with consumable refrigerant!
 
F-104s had them as did the B-52.
Yeah, but from the video it sounds like the Tu-22 had a much higher likelihood of them actually being deployed. :)

Also, apparently not all F-104s :)
