When I was 15yrs old got a Student Solo Certificate 16hrs flight time Quad Cities Illinois Moline airport spent 1000's while in Highschool. Elliots Flight school with David Lincoln flight instructor. how do I get proof I exist now years later an does it do me any good in another state like California San Louis Obispo Airport how to transfew flight times.

Do you have your log book? That is the only thing that really matters. You will have to re-learn everything so proof of solo doesn't mean anything.

And unless you were flying a glider or a balloon, you didn't legally solo at age 15 within the last 50 years (at least). But as a practical matter, whether you can find that Student Pilot Certificate or even your logbook from back then, it won't make much difference if you haven't flown in 50 years or more -- you're going to have to train from scratch anyway.

Soloing is not a milestone that's reported to the FAA. The only absolute record will be your logbook, with the possibility that your instructor might also have kept records. If you lost your logbook and you feel the need to document your solo, contact him and ask him to help you recreate your logbook. As others have said, you'll probably have to redo your training from the beginning so it really doesn't matter.

All this assumes you soloed at a legal age. Otherwise, let the dog sleep.

I started my PPL training in 1989 while I was in the Navy stationed at NAS Memphis. I flew about 25 hours - I had solo'd and completed one of my XC's.

I got transfered to NAS Miramar in San Diego and didn't take another lesson. No car, no flying club on the field and less money living in a more expensive place.

Cut to over 20 years later when I start flying again last year. I didn't even have my logbook anymore. I can still count the hours but they didn't really matter in terms of what I was doing now. It helped get me going faster because I knew fundamentally how to fly an airplane, what all the gauges were, how to track a VOR, etc... but I flew another 16 hours before my CFI signed me off to solo again.

For you, there's the legal age thing but ultimately it doesn't matter. The only 'perk' I got from telling my CFI I had 20-something hours logged already was I got to handle all the radio work from the first flight out. :)

Regardless of when you soloed, a new CFI is going to basically recover everything and re solo you anyway, just because someone else soloed you doesn't mean your not going to have to prove to me that your up to the task.

I'd say the only thing that would mean anything would be your hours, as they still count towards your total time.

Wow, one post and banned.

That has to be a record.
