So was my youngest son, delivered by the same doctor that delivered my wife.
 
My stepdaughter lives in Tampa...but if its to put eyes on an airplane.... Nope! I'll be there in October if it can wait...:D

My inlaws are on Siesta Key but they're incompetent re airplanes.

I'll be in Cedar Key a couple days this week, but have no ground transportation.
If it's to eye an airplane, could owner fly it to KCDK?

I'm a 10 min flight from st Pete. Leaving for OH for 2 weeks this weekend though.

thanks y'all. the guy tried to send the logs last night but apparently got kicked back because the file was too big. so, waiting on the logs to see if it's even worth pursuing, then I might reach out if someone is interested in taking a quick look at her for me. thanks!
 
I live in Tampa, and have a plane in Brooksville near work. Could fly down to St. Pete if the weather is good.
 
I frequent the Saint Pete area pretty frequently let me know if I can help.
 
I should be in St Pete / Tampa two or three times in the next month. I usually fly into KPIE / Sheltair.

It's a short flight for me, but you'd probably have to wait 2 weeks, and I'm no mechanic.

oh ya, just to be clear, I wouldn't be asking for anything more than a quick once-over. basic feedback like "man, I wouldn't waste your time" or "eh, it's aight" or "your loss, eman, I'm buyin' this puppy"

I may be able to do it Saturday. Otherwise it will be 2 weeks. I'm not comfortable landing my Mooney on that grass field, but I can probably talk a buddy into taking his 162 down there. It's a short flight but a long drive, so driving's out for me.
 
once again, PoA peeps come through bigtime. just wanted to send a big THANKS to @FloridaPilot and his friend for taking a look at this bird and getting a great walk around video! that kinda stuff is so helpful and I really appreciate it. thanks again!!!!! also, thanks to all the other potential volunteers as well for offering.

I wouldn't completely rule it out but I don't think we'd be close in price compared to what he's asking. I know it's only an asking price. some planes are 'close' to what they're asking, I don't think this one is.

lol it's the kind of weather that yeah, I would have flown in it. but to make it an 'offical' flyin event, I think we did the right thing to shoot for another weekend.
 
I spent half the day dodging t-storms today heading north. Finally gave up when I stopped for gas and it looked like this
