St. Louis to Orlando.. 2 potty stops..

Reviewing the calendar for 2012 has revealed that I need to plan how to get from STL to ISM... easily with the wife and 2 kids..

770 miles.. 3 legs which will give us 2 potty stops... 250 mile legs in the Cirrus shouldn't too bad..

Anyone have any favorite airports along the way?

I flew St. Louis to Tampa stopping in Montgomery KMGM along the way in two 3 hour legs. MGM had a small food court in the main airport that was a short walk and no boarding pass needed... do note that the coffee place is behind security.

Birmingham and Tallahassee are right around three 2 hour legs. Tallahassee is pretty quiet for the size, but it's not too close to food options. Gainesville has (had?) a restaurant on field but that's getting pretty close in.

KBHM is in a shady part of town, with the FBO's on the 'more shady' side of the airport. Not a problem if you're doing a stop-fuel-go, but if you're looking to get something to eat in town, go elsewhere.

If lunch is an option make a stop at KTCL, get a crew car, and head to Dreamland for some wonderful ribs.
