Springtime In Indiana

We all have to sacrifice to keep you from hurting any one with your "airmanship." :D

Although I am about 50 mile NE of the snow line in Ohio so no big deal here, just chilly.

North Carolina got 2 inches of snow today. Of course, that was up in the mountains and not down in the piedmont where I'm at. Here it was just overcast and rainy most of the day.

We had pretty heavy crosswind and bad turbulence climbing out of IND today at 1p. Saw some accidents on the way to the airport, and almost rear ended someone due to freezing road conditions. Winter weather warnings should have been changed to Spring snow warning.

Going to be 79 and no wind today, unfortunately have to take company out on the boat.will have to fly tomorrow when it’s eighty.

79 ?!!!?
WAAAAAA!
I'm still waiting for it to be above freezing when I get in the Cub.
Maybe Tuesday.
OK, the weatherman says not Tuesday.
But the wind look manageable.

The prairie dogs are coming out here....so it must be spring.
The Turkey Vultures have returned to the neighborhood - another sign.

There has to be at least 20 of them that hang out a block or so away - big ugly mo-fo's - all cluster in a couple trees. I have no idea how they manage to find enough to eat in the middle of the city...

Everything was covered by a thick blanket of snow this morning. Houses, cars, trees, everything. It was gorgeous. Gone by noon, I think.

There's nothing more beautiful during spring than the desert between Holbrook and Albuquerque after sufficient rain.

The green prairie grass tassles, cactus flowers, various wildflower species, and the many birds make a wonderful sight.

The giant bluffs west of Gallup blurt out wonderful reds, greens, yellows, and browns after spring rain storms.

There's nothing like topping the last hills west of Albuquerque and seeing the Sandias bathed in the fading light of another beautiful sunset.

Zeldman gets to see these sights every year. I have to use memory, as I moved from my home state long ago.
