Southeast SCBC options, Triple Tree SC00 8/22/2021

I'd suggest the SCBC this coming Sunday (7/11/2021) at KCUB but a certain something-that-is-not-to-be-discussed ain't looking so good, so what about hitting up Triple Tree, one of the greatest grass strips around (other than all those other great grass strips) on 8/22 ?

There's a Canard fly-in at FFC the day before that too; Falcon Field, Peachtree City.

There are no approaches at Triple Tree, so to some degree we're all going to be wx limited.

I'm planning on it. Need to test out the AP. Had a new pressure transducer put in a week ago. One of the partners noticed the AP hold altitude well down low, but not so well up high; it did work well for me on the way back from Pueblo, but otherwise that is the trend. I flew it for Young Eagles last weekend, but that was all down low. Weather has been a mess since. I need to get up to 10k or more and see how it does. I have an Angel Flight planned for Monday, so I could test it out then.

i have recently been notified that there are 2 kind of carpets that are "required". one that goes over the hardwood floor, and there is some other kind that goes on top of that said carpet.

Well, so much for that forecast. Shot the ILS5 into SPA. Automated weather was going back and forth between 400' scattered and 400' broken and then overcast another 1,000' up.

We were holding at FRIST at layered altitudes for the approach.

Big line of people, which is good to see with the weather.

Isn’t it weird? They wouldn’t trust you to go buy them yourself which means they don’t trust your opinion. But they will insist that you come along and give your opinion.

When my asks me about her clothes these days I remind her that she doesn’t trust me to pick out my own clothing, why would she trust me to tell her about hers. There is zero chance I’m ever going drapes shopping unless I’m given a stock number and I’m just buying them.
