Yeah it’s still a tad bit early for me to call it, but I’m afraid the ceilings and forecasted mountain obscuration may put a damper in the plans.
 
well i have a plane again... it will be up to eman now as i am riding with him....
 
This is some of the data I’m looking at so far. Quite a bit of LIFR/IFR forecasted for 8a EDT.

my plan has not changed one iota since day one. I'm leaving at 10am unless the wx tells me I aint.

but now I gotta go back and break the bad news to @FlySince9 that right seat is once again taken.

neither has mines... just unfortunate i am the subject of flightschools planes... #smh
 
Seems to have improved a bit. I'll wait until the morning. If it improves I might give it a go.
 
Sorry, I'm gonna wuss out. Too much Low IFR in the morning, from ATL past CHA to TYS, followed by afternoon TS halfway back. Widespread 500' ceilings make me nervous . . . .
 
I'm going to be a wuss just like Hank. :( The trip over might be doable but I just don't want to deal with the TS forecasts on the way home.

Those who do go, have fun and be safe.

Sounds like the general consensus is ‘bail’. Let’s look to reschedule. Unfortunately that looks like our best option.

Wow, the clouds certainly rolled in quickly at PDK. It was clear when I left around 9. They are calling it scattered, but I think someone is being optimistic.

I’m out next weekend, I have a funeral to attend in Dickson, TN. Planning to fly up, weather permitting.

It would even be cooler if the South Carolina Breakfast Club was in North Carolina next week... say at FQD. Now that would be cool. I would be tempted to go.
 
Partner has plane next weekend , is have to bum a ride with Ryan
 
Going to be at CMA Fest in Nashville next weekend. It was a tough call, but I'm going to choose Carrie Underwood over you guys.
