Southeast Fly-in - Burgers & Museum @ GKT (JULY 20)

Let’s try another attempt at this.

Here’s the plan :

Fly-in to GKT (Gatlinburg - Pigeon Forge) and then take a courtesy car <or Uber if there’s too many of us> over to Fuddrucker’s for a burger.

Afterwards commute back to GKT and tour through the Tennessee Museum of Aviation.



I’ve been wanting to do this for awhile and I know a few others have too.

Sounds like a good time. My schedule stays full it seems. On the 8th I am tentatively planning on being close to KGKT; I plan to fly into KMOR Morristown (just 20 nm away from KGKT) to complete an annual condition inspection on the Lancair. The 15th I will be out of state.

You should empty your wallet of years of hard earned dollars and buy a plane. That way it will be ready to go when we have a fly in. But then the weather will stink, so you’ll leave the plane in the hangar. That will give you time to make the monthly hangar rent payment and insurance payment.

What’s the name of your flying club again? Asking for a friend.

Seems like the 8th and 15th don’t work for a few of us. Testing the waters for the 22nd or 29th. I’m flexible, so any suggestions from folks interested is fair game. Any of those work better for y’all? The more the merrier!

Nope. I’ve been eyeing the forecasts and this weekend looks nasty.

Due to the fact that many folks can’t make the above the dates, I am likely going to suggest the first weekend in July to give more members some heads up and time to plan.
